Magnus League is the Elite Hockey League in France. A number of Canadians playing in the league, but most are from Quebec and played their junior years in the QMJHL. There are five players currently playing in the league, the alumni of the Ontario Hockey League.
Shawn Snider is currently at the Bisons de Neuilly sur Marne. Shawn began his career in 1998 playing in 99 OHL OT 2001-02 on three different teams. He played for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in 1998-99 and 1999-00 part. He then moved to the Owen Sound Attack at the end of the season 1999-1900 and played with them until the middle of the season 2001/02. He finished the 2001-02 season with the Sudbury Wolves.
Snider best season in the OHL with Owen Sound was 2000-01, when he reached 76 points in 61 games. He played Canadian college hockey for three years, followed a few years in the minors in North America, before moving to France 2008-09.
Matt Reynolds is now with the Dukes of Dijon. Matt has played in the OHL with the Brampton Battalion 1998-99 to 1999-00.
Stephane Gervais played only 12 games in the OHL for two seasons, but it qualifies as a former OHL. 2000-01, he played six games with the Plymouth Whalers. 2001-02, he played six games with the Windsor Spitfires. Stephane has four seasons of college hockey in British Columbia, before playing for France. He played 2007-08 and 2008-09 and currently plays with Epinal with Briançon. Tomas Skvaridlo is currently with the Raptors Gap. His profile on the official website of the team is here. Tomas has played in the OHL with the Kingston Frontenacs 1999-1900 to 2000-01. A selection of Pittsburgh Penguin project, he immediately returned to Europe after the OHL and played in the Slovakian league to move to France this season.
