Hockey Basics – Getting to Know the Sport

Fast, physical and fun. These three words are often used to describe the sport of hockey. To the untrained eye, seems the picture of colliding bodies no longer fly at excessive speed as the inside of a pinball machine. But for those with the sport, it’s a beautiful sight.

Hockey is a fun sport to learn, but we have different capabilities, namely, teamwork and coordination to develop. The game, which consists of three periods, on a huge ice between two teams, each team usually five field players and a goalie on the ice at a given time. The goal is simple: Place the rubber washer, known as a puck in the net of the opposing team.
